The following changes are small and not much drastic, but by implementing them and making preparations beforehand, you can make the most out of your trip’s worth.

1. Make Bookings

If you plan to go on a trip anytime soon, start looking out for staying and traveling options at least two months in advance. Make your bookings before going on the journey, not to worry about anything while being there.

You can book hotels, tour guides, city tours, and restaurant reservations in advance so that you have all your trip planned out before your eyes. You can book flights in advance by comparing the rates and flexibility of each airline.

Getting a booking can help you in many ways. You can get your desired seat with ample legroom, and you can contact a baby bassinet if you have a baby with you or you can also book a meal if you have special dietary requirements.

You can also book a car-hailing service for your commute throughout your trip before reaching your destination, and this will also take a task off your to-do-list.

2. Explore the Place

Travelling is all about exploring the place, even if you have seen it before. Plan out your trip in such a way that you get to explore the city and enjoy every moment there. You are there to make memories, and you should do everything that you will look back and cherish one day.

To add some fun element to your trip, you can add an adventurous trip to the local tourist attraction or a famous museum nearby. You can also hire a tourist guide for sight-seeing that will also tell you about the historical significance of the sights.

Every place has a significance; every street every corner has a piece of history associated with it; try to explore the history and uncover hidden stories of the site you are visiting. Ask around from locals, the areas deemed must-visit for tourists, and you would be pleasantly surprised.

3. Try RV Travel

RV is a recreational vehicle that can accommodate its passengers quite comfortably for travel and stay. Traveling in an RV can be a great experience if your family and friends accompany you. RV is also known as a motorhome as it has a kitchen, bathroom, sleepers and cupboard storage as well.

You can explore your country in these motorhomes and go for a road trip from one state to another. Stopping and sight-seeing, whenever you please, is an excellent plus point of an RV.

4. Add Some Adventure

If sight-seeing and museum is not your cup of tea, worry no more. To make your travel more fun and exciting, plan some adventurous activities ahead of time. You can search out the place on the internet and see what adventure they have to offer.

Paragliding, water jet boat riding, horse riding, or jumping with a parachute are some of the adventurous tasks enjoyed by thrill junkies.

You can even check out the theme parks and impressive gardens and parks if they have some unique tourist attractions. For children, you can explore some fun and exciting things such as theme parks, carnivals, waterfalls, and rivers.

5. Don’t Over-Pack

One thing that is essential for a fun and light-hearted traveling trip is that you should travel light. Just keep some necessary clothing, a couple of formal and casual wear clothes will be sufficient for a week-long trip.

Keep your medicines if you take any, especially if they are not readily available everywhere. Don’t overstuff your luggage as your air-line also has a restricted allowance of weight per person. Call ahead of time to inquire about the weight allowance per person you don’t face any hurdles while checking in at the airport. You don’t want to drag the heavy luggage from the airport to your taxi, from the cab to your hotel and vice versa.

Even if you need something that you did not pack, you sure can get it from your nearest convenience store. Convenience stores are literally on every street of the world where you can find almost everything, even in the middle of the night.

6. Travel with the One You Adore

You get to know the true colors of a person while traveling and eating with them. Traveling and exploring alone sure is the dream of many, but you can take along someone you love and adore while maximizing the fun of your trip.

Traveling with close friends is always a great idea, you make so many fun-filled memories that you cherish forever, even if the world’s reality takes those friends to different parts of the world.

Traveling with family is also one of the best ways of relaxing and rejoicing; sometimes, a family vacation is needed the most to make everyone happy and relaxed.

You can also travel with your partner and explore new places together, get to know new people together, and fall in love at new places time and time again. You can make incredible memories and some pictures to post on your social handles.

7. Enjoy New Cuisines

One thing that joins people from different countries and backgrounds is the love of food. Good food is loved by everyone no matter what country or ethnicity it belongs to. Every place has its unique cuisine with ingredients and flavors that are locally sourced.

Some people travel merely for the love of food, they like to try and taste new cuisine and increase their flavor profile, and they love to explore the hidden food gems at the local vendors and stalls.

Almost every place has a walking food market that harbors some of the most lip-smacking food dishes considered regional specialties. Explore those food markets, and it will surely be worth your time and money. The rate of these markets is usually kept low due to high demand.

You can also add some sweetness and spice to your traveling by taking out food hunting in local areas. You can also add some famous fine dining places to your list for trying if that’s what you are into.

8. Take Some Clicks

This is the best advice anyone can give you, make memories and save them forever through your camera lens. Take pictures of everything you do, everything you eat, and every place you explore.

Take pictures of the beautiful places, the rivers, the fields, and the mountains. Explore everything and keep saving those moments into your camera. Travelling is fun, but you can make that fun last forever by capturing those moments and making them eternal.

Don’t fret over if your dress isn’t perfect if your makeup has faded or your hair is running wild; you will still look back to those pictures with love after a couple of years.

9. Be a Cheapskate

Being a cheapskate is not necessarily bad when you are traveling. You should cut corners and try to save as much as money possible during traveling instead of over-spending and regretting late.

Instead of hotels, you can stay at a friend’s or get a cheap Airbnb to stay for a couple of nights. You can try and hunt delicious street food from local food markets instead of expensive restaurants and hotels.

You can save a lot of money by traveling by train or car instead of air travel, and that sounds exciting as well. Save the money and use it for traveling even further, with the saved money you can extend your stay, buy gifts and souvenirs for loved ones and memorabilia for yourself.

Final words

Only you are in charge of your happiness; only you know what makes you genuinely happy and satisfied. If traveling is what gives you joy, then you should go for it.

Some people have nomads’ souls; they like to keep traveling and moving from one place to another. They have a wanderlust inside them that only gets satisfied once they start exploring the new location and new culture.

If you are also one of them, then you have an exciting life ahead of you for sure. The traveling can sometimes get tiresome and boring, to combat this situation you have to keep spicing up the things with new fun ideas.

Remember some of our tips, as mentioned above, to make your trip more fun and exciting. And you would be good to go.

Tips for Your First Visit to a Washington Dispensary

Published

on

tips-for-your-first-visit-to-a-washington-dispensary

If you’re taking a trip to the Pacific Northwest, a visit to one of Washington’s recreational dispensaries is probably on your list. Washington was among the first states to allow adults over 21 buy marijuana for recreational purposes. If you are not from a legal weed state, the process of buying in a dispensary may be unfamiliar. Just use the tips below for a smooth and enjoyable dispensary experience.

1. Bring government-issued photo ID.

You wouldn’t expect to buy a drink at a bar without showing ID. Since marijuana in Washington is for people 21 and up, you’ll also have to show you are of age in any reputable dispensary. Be ready to pull out ID at the door, since most will not allow entry without it.

2. Bring cash.

Most dispensaries are cash only, as credit card companies have been leery of handling their business. While you may be able to find an ATM on-site, it’s best to be sure. Bringing cash can also help keep spending in line. It can be easy to get carried away when you see the variety of goods that are available.

3. Review their menu online before you go.

It’s easy to get overwhelmed when you see the many strains and delivery systems you have available. From a wide range of flowers to edibles, waxes, and concentrates, it can be hard to take it all in.

To make it all a little easier, see if the dispensary you are considering has a website with a menu you can browse. The menu will tell you about the characteristics of different strains and allow you to get a little information about unusual formats such as tinctures, resins, and vaping products.

4. Don’t be afraid to ask questions.

Everyone was a newbie once. It is perfectly okay not to know everything about the products the first time you go. Budtenders are knowledgeable about the marijuana products they sell and can help you understand the offerings.

They’ll be able to answer basic questions about things like indica vs sativa, THC content and more. They’ll also be able to make recommendations based on your needs and preferences. For instance, if you are looking for something that will help you sleep, they’ll be able to tell you about strains that have helped others get a good night’s rest.

5. Keep your phone in your pocket.

You may be tempted to take photos of all the wonderful things for sale. Don’t. Most dispensaries have strict no-photo policies.

End any phone calls and delay that reply to your last text when you go inside. While you may just be trying to make dinner plans, staff can be concerned that you are going to try to sneak a photograph of the inside of the shop.

Plus, you are enjoying an unusual opportunity if you are not from a state with legal recreational dispensaries. Give the experience and your budtenders your undivided attention. You can always show off your stash later on.

6. Tip your budtender.

The staff at the dispensary should be tipped just as you’d tip a bartender. They take the time to show you products and explain the best options. Showing your appreciation with a tip can help ensure they remember you if you stop in again.

In general, a $1 to $3 tip is fine for small purchases. If a budtender has spent a good deal of time with you or you are making a large purchase, a tip of $5 of more is appropriate.

7. Open your purchases at home.

It can be so tempting to break out your brand-new edibles or flowers as soon as you leave the dispensary. However, it’s better to keep your purchases wrapped up until you are back at your home or hotel.

Just as there are laws against public consumption of alcohol, there are laws about where you can and can’t use marijuana. Plus, if you are trying an unfamiliar product, it’s best to be in a safe and familiar environment.

8. Go easy with new preparations.

If this is your first time trying something, start slow. It can take some time for marijuana products, particularly edibles, to take their full effect. Start with a small quantity, then wait thirty minutes or so to see what happens. Taking more too soon can mean taking too much.

Above all else, have fun with your visit and enjoy your first trip to a Washington dispensary. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. The people who work in the dispensaries are usually passionate about the products that they sell. Take a chance on some new experiences and be sure to be safe with your purchases!

Travel Tips: Fun Things to Do in Your Hotel Room

Fun Things to Do in Your Hotel

Whether you’re stuck inside due to weather restrictions or simply want some relaxing time while on holiday, there are plenty of fun things you can do in your hotel room, in addition to playing games on your phone.

Let’s be real! There can be a lot of waiting around when on holiday. There’s the waiting for conveyance to arrive, the relocation, and a slew of other times when you can’t do much but wait. It’s great to have things to do during these periods of waiting. You might wait anxiously, gaze into space, read a book, or pass the time by playing a travel game! In fact, there are a plethora of travel games available, and no matter what your preferences are, you’ll be able to discover one that suits your needs!

Travelling for lengthy periods might exhaust you, and playing games is one way to recover while having a good time! If you’re travelling with your family, bring some travel games with you to keep the kids occupied throughout the day! I played many of these games during multiple road trips, and they were always entertaining and exciting! So, without further ado, let’s take a look at some of the essential games you should have in your suitcase to prepare yourself for summer.

Monopoly Deal

One of the best games you can play on your travels is Monopoly Deal. It is perfect for two or more players to enjoy while travelling. During road trips through Australia and other countries, I played this game a lot! One reason for this is that it is condensed into a card game rather than a board game, making it easier to pack. The game is based on the Monopoly board game. The goal is to acquire three complete sets of cards that represent the original game’s attributes.

You can do this in various methods, including personally playing them, stealing them, or collecting them as rent. The numerous cards in the deck, such as Monopoly money values and wild cards, make the game an exciting and delightful concept!

Tiny Epic Galaxies

In my opinion, any game in the Tiny Epic series deserves to be on this list. Each one has its own set of mechanics and themes and it is packaged in a little box. The beautiful thing about these games is that, despite their small size, they all pack a punch in terms of gameplay. They’re continuously releasing new games, so you’re sure to find something you enjoy that fits conveniently into a backpack. One of my faves is Tiny Epic Galaxies, which manages to condense an entire galactic conquest game into a few cards.

Cinko Linko

Cinko Linko is a game that is meant to be played while travelling. It can be played almost anywhere, and anyone can learn to play by simply gesturing a lot. As a result, language barriers are no longer an issue, and anyone can participate. It’s small and has a carabiner so you can attach it to your backpack without taking up space, and it’s also fun to play with youngsters. Consider it a more tactical version of Connect 4 without the upright plastic board.

Catan

Catan is easily one of the most enjoyable board games I’ve ever encountered. It’s an entertaining strategy game that’s simple to pick up yet difficult to master. The purpose of the game is to construct roads and settlements and trade with your fellow players, with the winner being the first person to reach ten victory points. Because of the nature of the game, it may get somewhat competitive as players compete for settlements and points! The big box is one of Catan’s drawbacks. It’s not a game you’ll be able to carry in your travel bag! However, if you’re going on a road trip, you can easily fit it in the car. Catan is a fantastic game that you’ll want to keep playing while you’re on the road!

Codenames

Your spies are concealed all over the place, and it’s up to you and your team to find them and bring them back! Codenames is an easy-to-learn party game. Players try to find their team’s concealed spies on the board without hitting a civilian or assassin in the process. It’s mostly a word game in which one player provides easy clues to help their team find the relevant card on the board. It’s a tense event that’s best done with larger groups. If you don’t have many players to join, Codenames Duet, which is geared for two players, is a good option.

Final Thoughts

I enjoy both travelling and playing board games. There’s always time for a board game, whether you’re on a plane, sitting in your hotel room, delayed in the DMV, or out enjoying a great day. That doesn’t mean you have to bring a bag full of big-box games with you. Some games are designed specifically for travel and can even be carried in your pocket. Hopefully, this list has given you some great ideas on what sort of game you should take with you on your next trip.

The Most Popular Gambling Destinations in the World

Popular-Gambling-Destinations

Gambling has always been a fun activity, which people have used to pass the time. Records show that gambling, as an activity, has existed since the beginnings of Ancient Egypt, and many speculate that it most likely originated far earlier.

Regardless of its history, there is no denying that in the modern age gambling has become one of the most common social activities. Whether poker night with friends, low-stake amateur tournaments, betting on sports, or high-stake, professional Blackjack matches, gambling is an activity that most people have engaged in, in one way, or another.

A testament to the popularity, and appeal of gambling is the numerous cities built all around the world, which have become monuments to the dice. Most of these places, like Atlantic City or Las Vegas are synonymous with gambling. In this article we will take a look at a number of the most popular gambling destinations in the world, and talk a bit about their inception.

One’s Own Home

Starting out with a bit of an easy pick, one of the most popular gambling destinations is the home of any person who wants to try their hands at gambling. How, you may ask? Simple. Thanks to the advent of online casinos, anyone can experience the thrill and fun times of casino games without having to deal with the hassle of traveling to a land-based casino. Online casinos offer a wide variety of games, such as poker, blackjack, roulette, even slots, and many, many more.

If casino games aren’t your thing, many online casinos, like the one at https://sport.netbet.com/in/, also feature a sports betting option, where any sports fan can bet on their favorite sport, game, or player. The best part about online casinos, is that they will often times let prospective players play a few free games, so that they can get a feel for the game, and decide whether they have found themselves in it.

But, while online casinos are in many ways better than land-based casinos, there are still a number of people who prefer the face-to-face contact, the atmosphere, and the hustle and bustle of the land-based casino. For those people, here are a few of the most popular destinations in the world for land-based gambling.

Las Vegas, Nevada

First on the list, and most likely the most popular gambling destination in the world, is the so-called City that Never Sleeps. Immortalized in song, Las Vegas is the biggest gambling city, not just in America, but in the world. The Las Vegas central avenue, commonly called “The Strip” is absolutely clustered with casinos, ranging from small venues, to towering mansions built to mimic the greatest of the world’s wonders.

Of course, Las Vegas is not only a gambling city. It is also the center of magic shows, housing some of the biggest magic shows in the world, most famously Penn and Teller, and Siegfried & Roy. It isn’t just magic shows and gambling that lures people to Las Vegas. In fact, the city offers many attractions both for fans of gambling, and casual tourists, just looking to sight-see.

Macau, China

For those who love to travel, and want to experience something different culturally, Macau distinguishes itself from most gambling destinations in the world, by being direct competition to Las Vegas, for the title of the world’s gambling capital. The Chinese gambling center derives more than half of its economy from the numerous casinos that pepper its streets, and in fact, estimates show that more money is gambled in Macau’s casinos than anywhere else in the world. When talking about Macau, we would be remised not to mention Stanley Ho, the Chinese tycoon who made the city of Macau what it is today. Mr. Ho passed away last year in Hong Kong, but his legacy as the King of Gambling will forever remain.
